Ocean City has a small airport for private planes.  The closest commercial airport is in Salisbury about 25 miles away.  US Air (now part of American Airlines) has some flights in each day connecting in Philadelphia and Charlotte Nc.  The larger airports in Washington DC, Baltimore and Philadelphia have many more flights with BWI outside of Baltimore being the closest. It is about a 2:15 drive. Rental cars are available from all major car rental firms.
